Morocco Loses 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Final to Senegal via Extra-Time Goal
Dubai, UAE— The Moroccan national team lost to its Senegalese counterpart 1-0 in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Sunday evening.
The match was dominated by a goalless stalemate throughout regulation time, as neither team managed to find the back of the net during the 90 minutes. The Moroccan team, known as the “Atlas Lions,” missed a penalty in the final minute of the first half, pushing both sides into extra time.
