Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa Meets His American Counterpart Donald Trump via Phone Call
The Syrian Presidency reported on Monday evening that President Ahmad al-Sharaa conducted a phone call with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, where both sides discussed the developments of the situation in Syria.
According to the statement issued by the Syrian Presidency, both Presidents, al-Sharaa and Trump, emphasized the importance of preserving the territorial integrity and independence of Syria, and supporting all efforts aimed at achieving stability in the region.
Both sides stressed the necessity of ensuring the rights and protection of the Kurdish people within the framework of the Syrian state. Furthermore, both parties agreed to continue cooperation in combating the “ISIS” organization and ending its threat to regional and international security.
The two presidents expressed a shared vision for a strong and stable Syria.
