Riyadh recorded sub-zero temperatures amid a severe cold snap in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — Saudi Arabia has witnessed a sharp drop in temperatures, with the capital Riyadh recording “sub-zero temperatures” on Thursday, January 22, according to the state-owned Saudi Al Ekhbariya channel.

Al Ekhbariya said in a video segment within its weather bulletin posted on its official account on the “X” platform, formerly Twitter: “The capital Riyadh recorded sub-zero temperatures during the day, while the impact of cold air masses continues over most regions of the Kingdom, accompanied by waves.”
