## Saudi Arabia is advancing in the use of Artificial Intelligence in the field of orthodontics
The Vice President of the Saudi Orthodontic Society, Dr. Mu’taz Billah Al-Ruwaihi, revealed that the health sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is leading the way in the use of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), with the aim of improving diagnosis and treatment levels.
Dr. Al-Ruwaihi said during a televised intervention with Al Ekhbariya channel that the Saudi Orthodontic Society works in joint cooperation with many health institutions within the Kingdom, with the aim of keeping pace with the latest developments in the health sector, including the adoption and application of AI technologies.
Al-Ruwaihi added that the goal of adopting these technologies is to contribute to achieving the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, noting that this includes reducing the treatment period through the use of effective technologies that increase efficiency in reaching the target, such as using facial shape analysis, determining the required locations for placing X-rays, and reading and analyzing them through AI algorithms.
