The Council of Ministers, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister—may God protect him—approved the cancellation of the financial fee imposed on expatriate workers in industrial facilities licensed under an industrial license.

The official statement declared that this decision comes as a continuation of the support and empowerment the industrial sector receives from the wise leadership, and within the framework of the Crown Prince’s—may God protect him—keenness and interest in empowering national factories and enhancing their global sustainability and competitiveness, and achieving the Kingdom’s ambitious vision towards building a competitive and flexible industrial economy.

The statement continued that industry is one of the fundamental pillars for diversifying the national economy in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, explaining that the decision serves the state’s directions to stimulate this vital sector and overcome difficulties for investors.
