The General Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested a citizen in the Asir region
The General Directorate of Narcotics Control announced the arrest of a citizen in the Asir region for promoting an estimated 22,900 tablets subject to medical circulation regulations, as part of its continuous efforts to combat the spread of drugs and their regulations.
The General Directorate of Narcotics Control indicated that the arrested citizen was detained, and the necessary formal procedures were taken against him. He will later be referred to the Public Prosecution to initiate legal proceedings.
Security authorities urged everyone to report any information they have regarding any activities related to drug smuggling or promotion, in order to confront the drug threat and protect society. The public can communicate to report via the unified numbers, which are (911) in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions, in addition to the reporting number of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (995). Reporting is also possible via email at 995@gdnc.gov.sa. The competent authorities will process all received reports with complete confidentiality and pursue them according to formal procedures.
