Knight Abdul Rahman Al-Rajhi, the star of the Saudi equestrian national team, clinched the title of the points round qualifying for the 2026 World Cup final in the US state of Texas. This came as part of the launch of the second and final week of the “Saudi Jumping” championship in its fifth edition.
The championship is organized by the Saudi Equestrian Federation at the “Saudi Jumping” headquarters in Janadriyah. This sporting event includes prize money exceeding 5 million riyals, with the participation of 193 male and female riders from 19 countries.
The Saudi rider “Al-Rajhi” won first place and the round title after finishing the round with a time of (61.94 seconds). In second place came the Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano with a time of (63.53 seconds), while the German rider David Will came in third with a time of (63.55 seconds).
In the same context, British rider Chad Fellows succeeded in snatching the title of the second round “two phases in one” for the five-star category (1.45-meter height). It is noteworthy that the winner is determined based on the fewest faults and the time in the second stage or the total of the two stages. Saudi rider Abdullah Al-Ahdal came in second (36 seconds), and Saudi rider Kamal Bahamdan came in third (35.5 seconds).
The championship continues its second day tomorrow, Friday, with four rounds (two one-star rounds and two five-star rounds), including the final qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.
