Napoli and Bologna Match to Determine the Italian Super Cup Champion in Riyadh
Al-Awwal Park Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, will host the final match of the 38th edition of the Italian Super Cup tomorrow evening, Monday. The match brings together Napoli and Bologna in a sporting event hosted by the Kingdom for the sixth time, organized and supervised by the Ministry of Sport.
Napoli, qualifying as the reigning Serie A champions, reached the final after defeating AC Milan 2-0. Meanwhile, Bologna caused a major upset by eliminating Inter Milan in a 3-2 penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in both original and extra time, marking the team’s first-ever appearance in the final.
Napoli seeks to claim the title for the third time in its history under the leadership of coach Antonio Conte, who holds an honorable record in finals. Conversely, Bologna is fighting to write new history and win its first-ever Super Cup title, becoming the thirteenth team to participate in the final.
This tournament is part of a series of major sporting events hosted by the Kingdom, aligned with the Ministry of Sport’s efforts to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhance the Kingdom’s status as a prominent global sporting destination.
