Oil prices rose today amid concerns over potential supply disruptions.
Brent crude futures rose by $1.11, or 1.84 percent, to reach $61.58 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose by $1.04, or 1.84 percent, to reach $57.56 per barrel.
In contrast, increased supply largely offset concerns regarding supply disruptions in other regions, keeping Brent crude futures near the $65 per barrel level in the second half of 2025, despite price declines last November due to increased supply.
Both Brent and WTI crudes had decreased by about one percent over the past few days.
