The Current Season Yields Remarkable Achievements for Al-Taawoun Team

Al-Taawoun team continued its distinguished winning streak this season, achieving a precious 2-0 victory over its host, Al-Kholood. The match, held on Friday evening at Al-Hazem Club Stadium in Ar Rass, witnessed exciting events as part of the 11th round of the Saudi Roshn Professional League.

Ecuadorian striker Christopher Zambrano gave Al-Taawoun the lead after scoring the first goal through a distinguished individual effort in the 22nd minute of the first half.

The second goal for Al-Taawoun came via so-called “friendly fire,” when Al-Kholood player William Troost-Ekong followed a ball sent by Zambrano into the penalty area and accidentally scored into his own team’s net in the 75th minute of the match.

The match held at Al-Hazem Club Stadium saw Al-Taawoun advance to second place temporarily with 25 points, while Al-Kholood’s tally remained at 9 points in twelfth place.
