With this result, the Moroccan national team’s tally rose to 4 points, maintaining its lead in Group A, ahead of the Malian national team, which holds two points.
In the third and final round, the Moroccan national team will face its Zambian counterpart, which has two points following its goalless draw with Comoros in the previous round. As for the Mali team, it will face Comoros in its final group stage match next Monday.
According to the tournament regulations, the winner and runner-up of each of the six groups will qualify for the Round of 16, along with the four best third-placed teams.
