President of the Saudi Handball Federation Elected as a Member of the Asian Handball Federation Board of Directors and Assumes the Presidency of the Development Committee

The Electoral General Assembly of the Asian Handball Federation, chaired by Kuwait’s Bader Al-Dhiyab, was held in the Administrative Capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt earlier this week, with the participation of representatives from member national federations.

The Board of Directors appointed Fadel bin Nasser Al-Nemr, President of the Saudi Handball Federation, as a member of the Continental Federation’s Board of Directors, in addition to assigning him the presidency of the Development and Relations Committee.

This selection comes as an extension of the great support enjoyed by Saudi sports leaders and the confidence held in Al-Nemr due to his distinguished career in sports administration. He previously served as a member of the Marketing Committee of the Asian Handball Federation for several years, during which he contributed to developing the system and enhancing its resources.

This appointment reflects the advanced position reached by Saudi sports and its pivotal role in the sports movement regionally and internationally, amidst the development witnessed by Saudi handball over the past years and the qualitative work provided by Al-Nemr during his presidency of the Saudi Handball Federation.

This work included development in the areas of governance, organization, and support for national teams, and strengthened regional and international partnerships and relations, in line with the aspirations of Saudi sports and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
