Strong Earthquake Strikes Near Taiwan Coast with No Confirmed Injuries
News and weather agencies reported today that a powerful earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck northeastern Taiwan today.
According to a report from Taiwan’s meteorological agency, the epicenter was in the sea at a depth of 73 kilometers off the coast of Yilan County.
Aftershocks were felt in some areas near the location of the earthquake, and there have been no initial reports of any human casualties or material damage so far.
