Bayern Munich Demonstrates Strong Scoring Prowess in the Bundesliga

While Harry Kane has been the leading goal-scoring star, Bayern Munich has proven it also possesses a remarkable supporting cast that demonstrates its evolving offensive power.

In their latest match, which ended in a crushing 8-1 victory over Wolfsburg on Sunday, January 11, 2026, seven different players found the net. This brings the total to 15 different goal-scorers for the team this season, the highest variety of scorers of any team in the Bundesliga.

This goal-filled victory also marks the 11th time this season that Bayern Munich has managed to score four or more goals in a single match.

Seven players in Bayern’s ranks have scored three or more goals, the second-highest such percentage among Europe’s major clubs after Arsenal.

On the other hand, while Arsenal sometimes relies on set-pieces to secure victories, 50 of the 63 league goals scored by the German team have come from open play, while 10 goals resulted from corners or free kicks, in addition to six penalties.

This means that the current German champions could challenge and surpass another record: the highest total goals in a full Bundesliga season, which they set themselves in 1972 with 101 goals.

If the German team continues to score at this rate, it could even challenge the record of 125 goals achieved by Torino in the Italian league during the 1948 season, which stands as a record among the clubs of the Old Continent and the major leagues in Europe.

Bayern Munich’s current average is approximately 3.94 goals per match, predicting a total of around 134 goals by the end of the season next May.
