Makkah Chamber Launches “Mawasim” Seasonal Recruitment Forum to Support the National Labor Market
The Makkah Chamber of Commerce organized the “Mawasim” seasonal recruitment forum, aiming to connect establishments with seasonal needs to national talents, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the labor market and empower national expertise.
The forum featured 4 enrichment sessions with the participation of 26 private sector entities and was attended by more than 1,500 job seekers. Professional and legal consultations were provided, along with dedicated areas for career guidance and workshops, in addition to a recruitment exhibition. These activities contributed to accelerating recruitment procedures and enhancing seasonal employment opportunities.
The organization of the “Mawasim” forum comes in response to the growing need for human resources during operational seasons in the Makkah region, which experiences accelerated economic activity in vital sectors, most notably Hajj and Umrah, hospitality and tourism, catering, and retail.
Fadi Dahlawi, CEO of Corporate Communications at the Makkah Chamber, explained that the forum is an extension of the Chamber’s role in empowering private sector establishments and enhancing their readiness for seasons, primarily the Hajj season. He noted that the forum contributes to increasing recruitment efficiency, supporting labor market sustainability, and improving operational readiness, which positively reflects on the quality of services provided to the “Guests of God.”
Dahlawi invited establishment owners to benefit from the initiatives of the Makkah Chamber’s development centers and the specialized programs and events they offer in the fields of training, localization, and entrepreneurship, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of these establishments.
