China Qualifies for the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup Final with a Victory Over Vietnam
The Chinese national football team qualified for the final match of the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup after achieving a crushing three-goal victory over its Vietnamese counterpart in the match held Tuesday evening at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
China scored the first goal in first-half stoppage time through player Peng Shigou in the 47th minute, before teammate Yuehang Xiang added the second goal with a header in the 52nd minute. Then, Yudong Wang managed to score the third and final goal for his team in the 90+8 minute, sealing China’s victory with a magical trio of goals.
As a result of this qualifying match, the Chinese national team will meet the Japanese national team in the final match next Saturday at the same Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah to compete for the tournament title.
