Egyptian media personality Mohamed Al-Baz reported, in an update to previous positions, on the fate of Egyptian politician and former Member of Parliament Mostafa Al-Najjar, who has been out of the spotlight and missing for about 8 years, making the case one of the most prominent issues that has raised widespread questions in Egypt.
Al-Baz stated that Mostafa Al-Najjar, who served as the head of the Egyptian Al-Adl Party, died on Egypt’s border with Sudan while attempting to flee the country to avoid the execution of a judicial sentence issued against him in the “insulting the judiciary” case.
Al-Baz explained that Al-Najjar had spent many years hiding in the desert with a group of smugglers before he passed away, according to circulated statements regarding his final circumstances.
Attempted escape and death from complications
The media figure indicated that Al-Najjar had left Egypt secretly following the judicial ruling against him, and that he lived for a long period in harsh conditions within the desert before meeting his death under mysterious circumstances, coinciding with his attempts to flee the country.
