U.S. Security Secretary Justifies Broadcasting Footage of the Execution of the Fort Hood Attack Perpetrator

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary “Markwayne Mullin” downplayed concerns on Sunday over the possibility that broadcasting a video of the execution of “Nidal Hasan,” the perpetrator of the Fort Hood attack, could fuel extremism, defending a plan that has drawn objections from other Republican politicians.

During an interview with CBS, “Mullin” responded to a question about whether “Hasan” could become a “symbol” inspiring extremists after footage of his execution by firing squad is broadcast, saying: “I don’t see any increased risk whatsoever at this point because of this.” He added: “I think people need to understand that if you attack America, we will come after you, and we will make sure the punishment fits the crime.”

The U.S. Department of Defense announced on Monday that President “Donald Trump” had approved Defense Secretary “Pete Hegseth’s” recommendation to execute “Hasan” by firing squad carried out by a U.S. Army team.

The department’s spokesperson, Sean Parnell, wrote on the social media platform X: “The day of reckoning has finally arrived for Hasan,” noting that the attack he carried out in 2009 left 13 people dead and 32 others injured.

It is worth noting that “Nidal Hasan” carried out an attack at the “Fort Hood” military base in the state of Texas in 2009, killing 13 people and injuring 32 others.
