U.S. President Trump downplays the financial impact of the war on Americans as he seeks to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that concerns over the financial pressures faced by Americans are not among his priorities as he pursues a deal with Iran.
In remarks to reporters outside the White House before departing on a trip to China, Trump said: “I don’t think about the financial situation of Americans, I don’t think about anyone. All I think about is one thing: we cannot allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. That’s it.”
When asked to clarify whether he was taking into account the financial impact of the ongoing war on Americans, Trump reiterated his stance on preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
