King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributes urgent food aid in several affected countries

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) continued to implement its relief programs in a number of affected countries, recently distributing 2,650 food baskets in Chad, Afghanistan, and Sudan, in addition to implementing urgent field interventions in the Gaza Strip, and providing medical services to combat cholera in Yemen, as part of its humanitarian projects for the year 2025–2026. These actions are part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support affected populations around the world and promote food security and health.

In the Republic of Chad, the Centre distributed 900 food baskets in the Lac region, benefiting 5,300 displaced individuals affected by the security crisis in Lake Chad, as part of the in-kind aid distribution project, in partnership with local authorities. This distribution comes within the framework of efforts to provide food security for the displaced population.

In Baghlan Province, Afghanistan, 750 food baskets were distributed, benefiting 750 returning families, as part of the Food Security and Emergency Support Project, to enhance stability and alleviate the suffering of affected families. The project aims to provide urgent support to affected families and increase their resilience.

As for the Republic of Sudan, the Centre distributed 1,000 food baskets in the city of Gebeit, Red Sea State, benefiting 1,000 needy and displaced families, as part of the efforts to support food security and mitigate the effects of the humanitarian crisis there. This aid constitutes a starting point for helping to improve the conditions of affected families.

In the southern Gaza Strip, the Centre implemented urgent field relief interventions for displaced families in camps affected by the low-pressure system, in cooperation with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage. The interventions included securing and protecting tents, providing alternative tents, addressing water accumulation, and following up on the conditions of the most needy families, especially women, children, and the elderly. The beneficiary families expressed their gratitude for the humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom during their harsh circumstances. It should be noted that these efforts reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian responsibility toward the Palestinian people.

In Yemen, the Urgent Cholera Response Project, supported by the Centre, provided its medical services to 7,815 beneficiaries during the past November. Services included comprehensive screening operations at airports and land ports, with no cholera cases recorded. Furthermore, 673 awareness and educational sessions were conducted, benefiting 13,860 individuals. The project focused on supporting health facilities with medical supplies and expanding the capacity of treatment centers, thereby contributing to lowering infection rates and preventing the spread of the disease. This project is considered one of the most important medical projects in the country.

These efforts are an extension of the prominent humanitarian role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, in supporting affected countries and peoples, and providing urgent response in the health, food, and shelter sectors, promoting the values of global humanitarian solidarity and relief. These initiatives are a continuation of the strong Saudi commitment to humanitarian aid and global responsibility.
