His Majesty Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Hail Region, sponsored the events of the eighth edition of his “Basma” (Impression) Award ceremony yesterday at Al-Maghwah Park in Hail. The ceremony was distinguished by the attendance of a group of Their Highnesses and officials, most notably the Minister of Education, Dr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, the Vice Minister of Transport and Logistic Services for Road Affairs, Eng. Badr bin Abdullah Al-Dulami, and the Consultant to the Minister of Health, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qasim, alongside undersecretaries of the Hail Region Governorate and a large number of officials.
Upon his arrival, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad toured the accompanying exhibition, which provided a glimpse into the sections of the participating entities and the achievements of the award exhibition.
The ceremony began with a visual presentation reviewing the award’s journey since its launch eight years ago, highlighting the developments and achievements that have contributed to establishing creative values and sustainability in the region.
His Highness then honored the winners of the eighth edition. The Hail Region Governorate received the “Ibdaa” (Creativity – Gold) award in recognition of its second-place ranking among government entities in the 2025 Digital Transformation Measurement. The “Ibdaa (Gold)” award was also given to the Hail International Arabian Horse Beauty Championship 2025, the General Department of Education in the Hail Region for the “Hail as an Educational and Tourist Destination” program 2025, the Ministry of Health branch in Hail for the Hail International Lifestyle Medicine Conference 2025, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Hail for its first-place ranking in the 2025 Hajj season. Additionally, the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) received “Ibdaa (Gold)” for the decrease in the unemployment rate in the Hail region to 6.6% in 2025, as did the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture for the Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad Award for Environmental Excellence. “Ibdaa (Silver)” awards went to KFC for adding the “Srar Hail” product to its offerings in 2025 and to Faris bin Khalaf Al-Mashnaa for winning the 2025 Saudi Baja Championship.
The “Mubadara” (Initiative – Gold) award was received by the Hail Region Governorate for the Hirfah Festival 2025, the Ministry of Tourism for Hail joining the “Spirit of Saudi” platform, the Ministry of Investment for the Hail Investment Forum 2025, and the University of Hail for establishing the Medical Research and Diagnostic Center 2025. Other gold initiative awards included the Media and Electronic Marketing Diploma program for Hail prison inmates 2025, the Hail Municipality for the “Wi-Mesh” project 2025, the Ministry of Health branch for the “Safe Hail” program 2025, the Hail Health Cluster for the “Wajh Al-Saad” convoy 2025, and the National Water Company in Hail for the water network improvement project in the northern sector and the implementation of measurement and control areas 2025. Furthermore, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Hail was honored for the early detection initiative for heart patients in Hail education 2025, the Hail Industrial City (MODON) for the infrastructure expansion project 2025, the Charitable Association for Mosque Care in Hail for the Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad Program for Building and Restoring Mosques 2025, Al-Sulaimi United Company for its social initiatives 2025, Mashari Abdulaziz Al-Nashmi for discovering the oldest camel rock art in the Arabian Peninsula, Badr Al-Shuwayla’i Al-Rashidi for opening the first Ministry of Tourism-classified hotel in Al-Hayit Governorate 2025, Hatem Al-Tai Lookout for establishing the longest toboggan in the Kingdom 2025, Hail Strawberry Farm for the first white strawberry cultivation project in the Kingdom 2025, and the Al-Othaim Excellence Award for establishing the “Etibar” Elderly Care Association in Hail 2025. “Mubadara (Silver)” awards were given to the CEO of the Hail Health Cluster, Hatem bin Eng. Mohammed Al-Rashdan, the Al-Uqhuwan Reserve in Hail, and the Saffron Farm in Hail.
The awards also included the “Ataa” (Giving) category, won by the Abdulaziz and Mohammed Al-Ajimi and Sons Charitable Foundation, the Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Othaim and Sons Charitable Foundation, and the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation for their funding of charitable projects and programs in the Hail region for 2025. Recognition also went to the sons of the late Abdulkarim Al-Moajil for establishing a specialized medical rehabilitation center, and the sons of the late Mifreh bin Hamdan Al-Rashidi for establishing a specialized urgent care center.
The ceremony culminated in granting the “Tamayuz” (Excellence – Gold) award to: the Deputy Minister of Health for Supply and Engineering Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saud Al-Turairi; the Undersecretary of the Hail Region Governorate, Ali bin Salem Al-Amer; the Undersecretary of the Hail Region Governorate for Security Affairs, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Saqr; the Mayor of the Hail Region, Eng. Sultan bin Hamed Al-Zaidi; the Director of Hail Region Police, Major General Dr. Kitab bin Aqilan Al-Otaibi; the Director General of the Ministry of Health branch in Hail, Sultan bin Nasser Al-Musa’eed; the Commander of the Special Force for Environmental Security in Hail, Brigadier General Majed bin Faihan Al-Anzi; the Chairman of the Hail Chamber, Hani bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi; and the Director of Hail Industrial City (MODON), Eng. Hani bin Abdullah Al-Mukaidish. “Tamayuz (Silver)” awards were presented to various leaders, officials, medical teams, and community figures.
The Hail Municipality won the “Adaa” (Performance) award for its one-year programs and projects 2025. The Ministry of Health branch in Hail received the “Basma” (Impression) award for the opening of the Hail General Hospital, while the Hail Municipality also received it for the opening of the engineering landfill in the region.
The Prince of Hail praised the unlimited support from the wise leadership, emphasizing that the Hail region has enjoyed the care and attention of the rulers. He noted that the achievements during the eight-year journey of the award were not just years, but “eight blessings” achieved by the grace of God and the support of the leadership.
The ceremony concluded with His Highness honoring the martyrs of the event, as well as its sponsors, supporters, and partners.
