Meteorology warns of foggy winds across the governorates of the Medina region today.

1 Min Read

The National Center of Meteorology issued a warning today regarding the formation of active winds in the Medina region, including Al-Rayis and Yanbu, expecting these winds to be accompanied by a noticeable decrease in horizontal visibility, in addition to a rise in wave levels resulting from expected wind speeds that may reach (40 – 49) km/h.

The Center indicated that this expected weather condition will begin—God willing—at exactly seven in the morning and end at five in the evening.

In a simultaneous statement, the Meteorology Department also warned of the formation of dense fog over the governorates of Al-Hanakiyah, Al-Mahd, Badr, and Wadi Al-Faraa, which would lead to a significant reduction in horizontal visibility to between (1–3) kilometers. It noted that this condition will last from one in the morning until eight in the morning—God willing.

The Center called on the public to adapt to these weather conditions by taking the necessary precautions, especially vehicle drivers traveling on roads during this period. It urged them to follow the latest updates and safety advice via official approved channels.
