Saudi Arabia prepares to announce the Dakar Rally 2027 route during a press conference in Paris tomorrow
Saudi Motorsport Company, the commercial arm of the Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia operating under the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and supervised by the Ministry of Sports, has announced a special press conference to reveal the route of the Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia 2027, marking its eighth consecutive edition in the Kingdom. The event will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, in Paris.
This announcement comes as the Kingdom hosts the eighth consecutive edition of the Dakar Rally.
The conference will be attended by Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal, Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and Saudi Motorsport Company, CEO of the company Eng. Mansour bin Ali Al-Muqbel, CEO of ASO Yann Le Moenner, and Rally Director David Castera, in addition to representatives of international media outlets.
The event will include a presentation of the new route details, along with the key stages and experiences of the upcoming edition of the rally, reflecting the event’s continued development and its sustained organization in the Kingdom, further strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a global destination for motorsport.
The unveiling of the Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia 2027 route coincides with the Kingdom’s celebrations of the achievements made in motorsport over recent years, reinforcing its status as a hub for motorsport and a global center for hosting major sporting events, supported by advanced infrastructure and accumulated organizational expertise.
The conference is expected to attract wide international media coverage, given the growing global interest in the Dakar Rally and its role as a platform combining sporting challenge with geographic and cultural diversity. This announcement follows the major success of the previous edition, which was won by Qatari driver Nasser Al-Attiyah in one of the most competitive and exciting editions.
